The Spot Remover is, in my strong opinion the Best Redfish Lure out at the moment. For fun, I still use Topwater, Baby -1crank baits, Soft plastic on an Oldham jighead, Spoons, Spoons with a pork chunk, Spinners, but I find in dirty and clear as a faucet water, the Spot Remover will out perform the others.
WHY:
a) It has a bevel or crease in the middle of the blade for twice the flash of an ordinary spinner or spoon.
b) A Catahoula jighead. Which is a jighead with eyes for more attention.
c) You get to put on your favorite soft plastic, and favorite color depending on the water clarity. I use Red with a white tail for clear water and either glow or black with chartreuse tail for dirty water.
d) Good weight so you can get a good cast.
Although the Big Bladed Sr's work well and that's what I originally got addicted to, I prefer the Jr's because you can work them slower. The blade spins with ease and you can keep it in front of the fish longer making it hard for them to resist.

THIS…is what makes me put it ABOVE ALL THE OTHER BAITS: On all the other baits mentioned above, as you're catching reds, now and then they NAIL the lure. BUT…with the Spot Remover, they NAIL IT 99% of the time! The harder they hit it, the easier it is to get a good hook set. The better the hook set, the more fish make it INTO THE BOAT!
