Cougar Killed in Monona County Iowa

A cougar was shot and killed by police in Monona County Iowa as the cougar hid out in a tree. Bill Noble's dog was barking and Bill figured his dog probably had treed a raccoon. To his shock his flashlight illuminated a cougar instead. Bill retreated inside and called police. They shot it in the tree and the cougars body was turned over to the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources.
