The Whitebarred Catfish aka Spotted Raphael Catfish or Talking Catfish is catfish from South America that is sometimes sold at pet shops. Very shy and usually only active at night.
Never use a mesh net to capture these fish as the are covered in barbs that will get hopelessly tangled in the net. Instead use a glass container to transfer them in and out of aquariums. Be careful their spines can be painful if you get nicked.
