Striped Burrfish - Chilomycterus schoepfi

The striped burrfish occurs from New England to Brazil. Adults are most often found on grass beds.

They are believed to spawn offshore but exactly when the spawn actually occurs is still a bit of a mystery.

Striped Burrfish feed mostly shellfish, barnacles and crabs.
