The Stick Pipefish (Trachyrhamphus bicoarctatus) has the typical long snake like body of a snake with a head that somewhat resemble that of a seahorse. The coloration is variable from yellow, brown, red and even black.

The Stick Pipefish feeds on zooplankton and it lives in bays and estuaries on sand or mud.

The Stick Pipefish ranges the Red Sea and East Africa to Japan and the to the Mariana Islands in Micronesia and Australia.
