Short Dragonfish Eurypegasus draconis

The Short Dragonfish is quite an unusual looking fish. It has bony armor resembling a shell or coral which it uses as great camoflage. The males have a blue-white pectoral fin margin.

The Little Dragonfish occurs in tropical and warm temperate marine waters of the Indian Ocean to the Central Pacific including north-western Western Australia and too northern Queensland and central New South Wales.
