Red Rainbowfish

The Red Rainbowfish Glossolepis incisus has brightly colored males and silvery females. The male fish need females present to keep there most brilliant reds showing. They are schooling fish and are quite active so they need a large aquarium to roam.

It is possible to get red rainbowfish to spawn in captivity if given the proper conditions. But you will need to remove the adults after they have spawned.

Red Rainbowfish are omnivorous but are quite peaceful and do well with a host of other fish.
