The Pacific Pomfret is an oceanic fish rarely caught in shallow water. Although found offshore they occupy the upper water column where they feed on crustaceans, other fish and squid.
As they name implies they are found in the pacific ocean. Range from Japan to the Bering Sea and South in the Eastern Pacific all the way to Peru. Pacific Pomfret are good eating fish.
