Ocean surgeon aka Ocean Surgeonfish or Ocean Tang range from Massachusetts south to Bermuda, Gulf of Mexico and on to Brazil. Also in the Eastern Atlantic around the Ascension and St. Helena isla.
They prefer shallow bottoms with coral or rocky formations Feed mainly on algae.
