Mahogany Snapper - Lutjanus mahogoni

Mahogany Snapper

Mahogany snapper inhabit the waters of the Western Atlantic from North Carolina South to Venezuela, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea. They are however only common in the Caribbean.

The mahogany snapper occurs in nearshore water out to 300 feet deep. Usually associated with clear water and rocky or coral bottoms.
