The longtail seamoth live in Indo-West Pacific from Mozambique to Saudi Arabia and throughout Gulf of Manaar, Bay of Bengal the east coast of Myanmar and north to Japan, and south to Australia. They feed on small invertebrates on the ocean floor where they spend the majority of their time.
