The French Angelfish is a large, deep-bodied fish hows color goes from jet black when you to more and more faded black as it ages. Juveniles are black with five verticle yellow bars. The adult fish is gray and a white mouth and the body scales trimmed in yellow.
French angelfish range through the tropical Eastern and Western Atlantic including the Caribbean. French Angelfish will eat sponges and algae. Somewhat popular in the aquarium trade they are often feed lettuce and other vegetable matter, as well as small finely chopped pieces of fish meat.
