Female Bluehead picture on the left. The females have different coloration than the males. The name bluehead comes from the fact that the large males have a blue head. Bluehead Wrasse range from the western Atlantic Ocean from Florida the Bahamas down through the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and south to northern South America. It also occurs in Bermuda.
