Cusk (Brosme brosme) is a cod-like fish in the ling family. The cusk is the only species in its genus. It is easy to identify due to its eel like appearance yet with a seperate tailfin. The cusk is varied in color ranging from gray to reddish brown above, and fading to gray on the lower sides and underneath. The cusk reach a size of about 3 feet long.
These fish range through out most of the North Atlantic where they feed on crustaceans and other soft bodied invertebrates and mollusks.
