The China rockfish (Sebastes nebulosus) is a black and yellow species of rockfish that lives along the Pacific coast found from the northern Gulf of Alaska to southern California.
The China rockfish has a very distinctive appearance, with a dark blue or black body patched but yellow.
They are solitary no schooling fish that feed on benthic organisms, including brittle stars, chitons, and crustaceans such as crabs and shrimp. They have been an important commercial fish as well as recreationally.
