Here is a picture of Central Mudminnow. Scientific name "Umbra limi". These fish found in St. Lawrence-Great Lakes, Hudson Bay and the Mississippi River basin from Quebec to Manitoba in Canada and south to Ohio, Arkansas, Hudson River drainage on the Atlantic Slope side in New York.
Central Mudminnows occur in quiet areas of streams, sloughs, swamps and other wetlands over mud and debris. Often found in dense vegetation. They tolerate low oxygen levels and extremes water temperature.
