The Blue Bobo Polydactylus approximans is often confused with the Yellow Bobo. They can be destinguished by the Blue Bobo having black pectoral fins. The Blue Bobo is not a large fish only reaching about 2 pounds in weight. They live in fairly shallow water often near the mouths of rivers.
The Blue Bobo is found in the Eastern Pacific from Southern California down south to Peru.
