Blacktail snapper Lutjanus fulvus

Blacktail snapper Lutjanus fulvus is a small snapper with a maximum size of only about 4 pounds. They range from Japan to Australia and East to Africa.

The younger Blacktail snapper are sometimes found in mangrove swamps and the lower parts of streams. Primarily a night feeder. Blacktail snapper feed on smaller fish, shrimps, crabs.
