Alan Schacht of Florida took this 9 point buck near Linden, Alabama on a January hunt. The buck weighed 165 pounds and fell to a Savage Model 111 in 30/06 (150 grain Federal soft points) with a Millett riflescope. The big buck came into a field just before dark with his ears back and his nose almost to the ground, going straight for a big doe. Alan and his hunting buddies hit the rut just right.
