This Illinois buck was taken down 11/29/05 on a very windy and cold day. Sam got to his stand at 3:45 pm(late) and by 4:10 this guy was a short 8 yard shot away from him. Sam drew his bow on him early thinking he was going to keep going down a path to his right but he stop to eat for about 5 min. and Sam had to release his draw, when he did the arrow went flying about 4 feet, but it was so windy the deer did not see or hear it so Sam was able to knock another arrow and shoot him. Another classic story about getting a big buck on a windy day.
