These two bucks horns were locked together from fighting. The guy that found them was going to his stand for an evening hunt and heard a bunch
of noise, so he went to see what it was and found the bigger buck dragging the smaller one which was already dead.
The big buck was wore out and it would surely have either starved to death or been eaten alive by coyotes or dogs. So he shot the deer with his bow and got help to load them up. At the check station, a game warden issued him a permit for the other one. He took them to a
taxidermist and is having the two bucks mounted like he found them (full body mounts).
They were found in Schulyer County, Illinois earlier in November 2003.
