This is a Yelloweye Rockfish. They are protected now and certain areas are closed to fishing because of them. James Moe caught this one the last year you could keep them. This Yelloweye Rockfish was caught off the coast of Washington State out of Neah Bay at an area called Swiftsure on the F/V Advantage. James Moe is on the left and Captain Geoff Grillo on the right.
