Kabeljou

kabeljou

There is a new world record white trout that has eclipsed the old record by well over 400%! This is highly unusual. Usually long standing records are broken by weights that often measure in ounces not pounds, much less many tens of pounds! This behemoth was caught out of Venice Marina while fishing the surf at Breton Islands. The new fish was landed well after being hooked as the trout gear he was using just wasn't really adequate for the job. The behemoth was hooked at about 7 am but wasn't landed for another 36 hours! Thats right 36 hours!!! The fish could have easily broken the 12 pound test line but when it would get a certain distance out it would quit fighting for some reason. Just like it had made it home or something and didn't want to go any further. I was lucky enough to be on the trip to Breton Island when this all happened so I know the story is true. I have not given out the name of the lucky angler as he wants to keep all the attention down to a low roar for awhile.

Psyche! Actually it is a Kabeljou aka aussie jewfish from the Indian Ocean! Did I get ya!
