Manchac Alligator Gar

Shane Tweezy caught this alligator gar 2 days ago. Probably weighed over 100 pounds. The gar was 5 feet 9 inches long. Shane caught it on a Calcutta 200 baitcast reel with 20 lb test line. It broke the rod that he was using, but he still managed to get the gar in after about an hour of fighting it on about 3 feet of rod. It was caught in the Manchac Pass, while fishing for catfish on the bottom with cut shad as bait.
