William Venable caught this 6 pounder on Oct 2003 while visiting back home in Lewisville North Carolina. The bass was released and on the very next cast I caught another almost 4 pounds. His uncle was in the middle of telling him that he was fishing with the wrong lure when the first hit nearly took my pole out of my hands. His uncle stocked this pond over the years and said it has several over the 10 lb mark so I was not as tempted to mount this predator.
