1600 Pound Bear

Pictures of a 1600 plus pound Alaskan Brown Bear take in self defense!

This guy and his hunting partner ran unexpected into this big grizzly bear Alaska while hunting blacktail deer. The bear was shot 10 yards away in the head with a .338, using 250 grain Nosler handloads. Two quick follow up shot to the chest for some added insurance.

They were working up a creek, headed for the mountains. The big grizzly was coming down the creek, probably hunting for the last of the spawning Coho in the creek. They first spotted him from 40 yds off.
