Monster Texas Ling

Picture of a monster Ling from Texas waters. This fish was 45 pounds and just at 50 inches. Caught by Jeff Knight from San Antonio(not in picture). His first offshore fish ever!!! We were trolling ribbon fish in about 60' of water off of Port Aransas. Slow day bumping around a few rigs and decided to work the color change on the way home. Bingo, there she was lurking about in the weeds and next to a large sheet of plastic in the water. Took about 30 minutes on a Shimano TDL 20 w/ 30lb. test. Great fun.
